Positive Life NSW, together with ACON, offers a range of opportunities for HIV positive people to build friendship networks, meet people and share information and strategies to enhance our health and well-being. Monthly peer support groups include After Hours and 7-2-9 plus we run a weekend workshop called Genesis for gay men diagnosed in the last two years. Planet Positive the popular social night for people living with HIV and their friends, is also held quarterly.
Have you just been diagnosed HIV positive? We have some useful information in our newly diagnosed section.
Maybe you want to write about your experience? Positive Life NSW runs regular writing workshops. These give people living with or affected by HIV the opportunity to learn skills, share experiences and have their work published. Writing workshops have taken place at the Sanctuary Newtown, the Positive Living Centre, ACON Northern Rivers, Karumah in Newcastle and the Darlington Centre in Sydney. For more details on upcoming writing workshops please call 1800245677 or email for more information.
Positive Life NSW also runs discussion groups on a range of topics to assist us in developing our social marketing campaigns and fact sheets. We also focus test all our Health Promotion resources and fact sheets. If you would like to participate in a discussion or focus group please email for more details.
