Positive Conversations online meetings are open to all people living with HIV across NSW, hosted and facilitated by a peer living with HIV from Positive Life. People living with HIV from rural and regional settings are especially welcome!

This session: Language, Terms and Phrases

Words have been used as tools, or ways, to put people down, to shame and cause harm. Words can also build people up, change opinions and offer people a fresh way of looking at the world.

Join PSB Speakers, Matt and Peter in a discussion about language, terms and phrases and how our words about ourselves, and our sisters and brothers living with HIV can harm us or build us up. Let’s share the ways words, phrases and terms we use about HIV, about people living with HIV, can shape the way we think about ourselves and the world around us.
