Peer Support Officer

Roberto is a compassionate professional with a 30-year-background across a broad range of roles in Australia, USA and UK, primarily in the Finance and Technology sectors. He has extensive experience in leadership, customer relationship management, and business development.

As a Peer Support Officer for Positive Life NSW (August 2024), Roberto is responsible for supporting all people living with HIV across the metropolitan and regional NSW to navigate and access options that support the community to maintain their health and wellbeing.

As a gay man, Roberto has lived with HIV since 2008. Born in Italy, he speaks fluent Italian and has a good understanding of Spanish.  His journey has been driven by a passion for supporting people to navigate their challenges and achieve their goals. Given his personal experience of homelessness, relationship breakdown and health issues, he particularly enjoys making a positive impact in the lives of others.

At Positive Life NSW, Roberto strives to provide empathetic and effective support for all people living with HIV, ensuring that every individual feels heard, valued, and empowered to live their best life. He enjoys fostering a supportive and inclusive environment at Positive Life NSW.
