Dai is an active member of the Sydney gay community and has lived with HIV for more than 15 years. He migrated to Australia from Japan in 2001.

Dai currently works fulltime in the HIV Sector as a Health Promotion Officer and is also a keen advocate for people living with HIV. He is a valued HIV positive public speaker with the Positive Speakers Bureau (PSB) and the loving father of two popular well-known dogs Holly and Ace.
