Below is information about the NSW HIV services closure and re-opening dates over the 2024-25 Christmas-New Year period including regional information to help you plan for the holiday period.

Maintaining social connection and health over the New Year’s Break

At this busy time of year, ensure you have enough medication to get you through the break.
Check with your clinic or doctor what the arrangements are, in case you need medical assistance over the holiday period
Keep a list of medications, brief medical history and contact numbers for emergencies
If you pick up prescriptions form a hospital or community pharmacy, find out when they are closed/open
Reach out to one of the mental health lines if you are feeling isolated, lonely or suicidal (helplines below)
Chat with your friends and see what they are doing.
Arrange to catch up or invite people to join you in what you are doing.
Organise an ‘orphans’ lunch, everyone can bring something to share.
If you are feeling lonely and not keen to be around other people, plan for some solo activities like going for a walk, a day trip somewhere.
Volunteer at a local charity for Christmas lunch.
